I just wanted to get my crying child out of there.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\"><b data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">We turned to go when a voice called out from behind.<\/b><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">\u201cExcuse me, ma\u2019am. Please don\u2019t leave.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><\/div>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">I turned around. An older gentleman in a grey suit was standing up from a corner booth. He walked over, his face red with anger\u2014but he wasn\u2019t looking at me. He was looking at the waiter.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">\u201cDo you know who I am?\u201d the man asked the waiter quietly.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\">The waiter\u2019s smirk dropped. \u201cUh\u2026 no?\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15\">\u201cMy name is Arthur P. Vance. I founded this restaurant chain thirty years ago,\u201d the man said, his voice booming now. \u201cAnd I started it with a single burger stand. The \u2018wish\u2019 you just mocked is the foundation of your paycheck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"16\">The restaurant went dead silent. The waiter turned pale.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"17\">\u201cHand me your apron,\u201d Arthur demanded. \u201cYou\u2019re done. Get out of my establishment. Arthur didn\u2019t just cook us burgers; he brought out a mountain of fries, the biggest milkshake I\u2019ve ever seen, and a cake on the house. The entire (remaining) staff sang Happy Birthday, and this time, they meant it.
