But every afternoon at exactly 3:00 p.m., the door would open.<\/p>\n
The biker would step in quietly, like he didn\u2019t want to disturb the air itself. He was huge\u2014broad shoulders, gray beard, leather vest that smelled faintly of gasoline and road dust. The nurses greeted him like an old friend.<\/p>\n
