I remember when “The Golden Rule” was the only rule that mattered. My parents raised me to believe that words have weight. We were taught that if we couldn’t contribute kindness, we shouldn’t contribute anything at all. There were no screens to hide behind; you had to look people in the eye and own your words.
It hurts my heart to see how easily people tear each other apart online today. Just because we have a keyboard doesn’t mean we lost our manners. Let’s bring back that old-school respect. Before you type, ask yourself: is it true, is it kind, and is it necessary?
